The monthly luncheon

Yesterday afternoon we were hard at work feeding the hungry at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Washington Street. About fifty people dropped in at the 2:00 p.m. meal. Lee and Hillary McFalls did the cooking. They made up a complete chicken dinner with stuffing and green beans, salad and cookies for dessert. Mark Salomon from Central Baptist and Shirley from St. Pats helped out in the kitchen.

Chelsey Calkins, her grandparents, Harry and Dot Calkins, joined a good friend of Hillary's and I in serving up the food. The crowd was pretty appreciative and we had plenty of food so several folks got to have a second helping.

Service with a smile. Bread anyone?
