God invites us to enjoy his big back yard.

Vacation Bible School opened tonight and we had a good start. About sixteen kids showed up and they got to enjoy life in God's Big Backyard. Our Praise team led the singing, Pastor Michelle and Pastor Lord took turns laying out the theme of the day which was "Serving in our family." We had a puppet show and enjoyed some words by Mrs. Sandy Beachy who spoke about quilting as a way to give gifts to family.

Fran Rogers was one of the teachers and Sharon Fishkin, Cassie Kane and Sybil Hall helped with the crafts. George Rezendes was one of the games leaders. I taught the adult class. We all focused on the story of Miriam and how she cared for her brother Moses when he as an infant.

The Vacation Bible School began with a light supper cooked by David and Karen Warfield at 5:30 p.m. I've posted a few photos below. Enjoy them and if you are free, we'd like to see you in the picture on Tuesday night.
